Sneak Preview of upcoming colouring book

I’ve been busy designing a logo, and creating a mock-up of the upcoming paperback version of the colouring book.  The pictures will be of higher resolution, at least 300dpi.

Here’s a couple of photos to give an idea of what it may look like:

Looks just like a bought one?  It is actually two 6″ x 9″ pieces of cut copy paper inserted into a paperback that happens to be the right size!  I got pretty excited about it.

Here’s me under the dim light in my studio which used to a small dining room.  I am posing for the shot.  I spent some time colouring the Two Shags on a Post and really enjoyed it.  Hope you guys are enjoying it too.

I want to make the book something special we can keep, not only for colouring, but perhaps to write down thoughts for the day, or a bit of poetry, or draw something special of our own in the spaces.  There are nice large margins that could be doodled in, or someone might create a beautiful border around the whole page.  There’s room for creativity.

Who would like to have a go colouring the new Wildersoul logo?  Maybe we will go with your idea!  Drop us a link in the comments here, or email me

In case you’re wondering what strange animal this is, it is a wildebeest, otherwise known as a gnu.  I nice ‘gnu’ book… hee hee.

Here it is:

  1. How do you do it!? You can make a few lines look amazing! I would make it look like a few lines! well done.

  2. So very glad you like it! I will get a hurry on and get the book done as quick as I can, now I know the format it will take. 🙂 Thank you for your support!

By the way, I love your blog, and the closest ‘label’ I could place on my homeschooling style would be ‘unschooling’ too. Keep it up!

  3. I love it! I will be one of the first to buy your coloring book when it comes out. I like your spirit! I have been meaning to print some of your coloring pages for my daughter (we are the ones living up in Sequoia National Forest) who is an artist as well. Take great care!
