      2. Wonderful! I know of a number of homeschool families with 4 or 6 or 8 children. Glad you are enjoying it, and have gotten over feeling terrified. ๐Ÿ™‚ Feel free to print off any pics to colour in. ๐Ÿ™‚ Do your kids prefer any particular type of picture to colour?

Yes I was more afraid of our 6 year old never being in school and I had to teach her to read…..I started her in Kindergarten when she was 4 because I started her then 7 year old brother in K too. since she is a head I have 3 that was in 2nd grade work this year……it has helped our kids with attachment…..can you do one that is a cross?? of course the younger boys like cars and tractors and things and our youngest daughter princess so maybe a crown……thank you so much…..

      4. Cool – it’s a wonderful way to form a strong family bond, at least that’s what happened here… About the pictures, I will see what I can do. I don’t believe in crosses, so perhaps if you describe what the cross means to you, I could ponder on that and see what I can come up with. Umm… I haven’t had a car for a long time and reckon we may all get about on horses again soon. (yeeha!) So if I find an interesting car or tractor to sit down and look at then I will draw it and send it to you. The princess one may be a bit more achievable – it has caught my imagination. Please be patient though, as it may take some time to let something come together in my mind before I can draw it. ๐Ÿ™‚
        All the best, inspiring momof6!

      5. Oh my goodness what the cross means to me….I’ve never been asked that before but when I see a cross I think of Jesus and everything that He has done for us…….and that is A LOT….He is the reason that our kids have healed as much as they have…..He is what is helping us through my husband’s terrible accident…..Oh I could go on and on…He gives me peace in the midst of the storm……….That is partially what the cross means to me……and my daughter loves the princess……again thank you so much….

My best wishes to you all. ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad your daughter loves the princess! I am still thinking on the cars and tractors…

      7. and I may have just posted that like 10 times I didn’t think it posted LOL…..yes we have been in a huge storm for over a year now and he has given us peace….my son just reminded me of something…..We were traveling to IN and it was raining really hard there was construction and our daughter 4 yrs old at the time pinched our daughter that was 11 and before I could say anything our 11 year old was in a rage….screaming going crazy…now she could control these fits but when she would do this it was impossible for us to get her to stop……our 10 year old was always affected by these fits the most because he wasn’t used to it and he didn’t have issues and was really quite….anyway she wouldn’t stop…my husband couldn’t pull over and we couldn’t stop…..my husband started having chest pains…..I had been texting a friend and I told her to pray and I started praying and we came around a curve and there was a huge white cross and instantly you could have heard a pin drop….she stopped immediately……there is power in the cross….talking about instant peace in the midst of the storm……thunderstorm on the outside and a hurricane on the inside LOL…….

      8. Sometimes a smile says so much, and has the power to get us through the day ๐Ÿ™‚
        Thank you!
(by the way I am still pondering the cars and tractors… my daughter has drawn up some funny cars with rocket boosters instead of wheels, and helicoptors carrying sharks! If possible I will forward them for the boys!)

      9. Good time for ski bunnies to visit…. it’s getting pretty cold now as today is the first official day of Winter here! ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope all is well with you and yours today. Is it okay if I email you a picture that your boys may or may not enjoy… hopefully they might get a laugh out of it, and have a go at creating something wacky themselves. ๐Ÿ™‚ WilderSoul

    1. Hello adoptmomof6,

Thanks for visiting my blog, and for commenting. Yes, I do draw these myself. Some I create digitally. And I have some artwork to post today which is digitally modified from my original photographs.

In response to the second question, I have found colouring in helpful in healing from my own trauma, and do not have an explanation handy as to ‘how’ it works. Likely a Google search would come up with some interesting food for thought. I’ve added a ‘disclaimer’ to my About page at https://wildersoul.wordpress.com/about/ as I expect there are many others who will be wondering the same thing. I am not a medical professional or licensed therapist or anything like that, nor do I claim to have healing powers etc. No mumbo jumbo. I enjoy art very much, and am happy to share it with anyone, and most particularly to those who may find it helpful in a similar way to me. Commercial art has never inspired me, and posting this art for people to colour in, *does* inspire me. So please feel free to go ahead and enjoy adding colour to them ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. Yes, I find it calming to colour at those times when drawing demands too much of the kind of energy I am short of. Love piano music too. I often listen to it while blogging. You’re very welcome to colour these to your hearts’ content. ๐Ÿ™‚
